West Valley Board of Directors, Kyle Crowther and Vice President Greg Young present Colton Joint Unified School District with a $48,994.69 rebate check.

RIALTO, CALIF. – West Valley Water District (WVWD) presented the Colton Joint Unified School District with a $48,994.69 check at the June 7, 2018 board meeting. Vice President Greg Young and Board Member Kyle Crowther made the presentation to school board on behalf of West Valley.

“West Valley Water District has strived to keep our rates low, run a fiscally responsible operation and when possible give rebates to our customers. Our priority is our ratepayers, and this rebate is proof of our commitment to being responsible and transparent with our ratepayer’s money”, said Vice President Greg Young.

In January 2018, the board of directors approved a rebate based on a report showing $4.5 million in savings from refinancing bonds to a lower interest rate through 2032. WVWD customers also received a rebate in 2016.

Customers who would like to use their rebates as a credit on their utility bill can bring the check to the District offices at 855 W. Base Line Road, Rialto, to have the money applied to their account.

Customers who did not receive their rebate check should call the District at 909-820-3700. More information about the rebate is available online at www.wvwd.org/rebates.
