Save The Date! Join West Valley Water District for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
West Valley Water District (WVWD) and San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District (SBVMD) Board of Directors, federal, state, community stakeholders and members of the public will join together to celebrate the ribbon cutting of WVWD’s Oliver P. Roemer Hydroelectric Plant in Rialto.
This facility captures the hydraulic energy of State Water Project (SWP) water, released from SBVMD Lytle Creek Turnout, to generate electricity. The electricity will offset the cost of a power at the District’s Water Filtration Facility using Southern California Edison’s clean energy generation, Net Energy Metering tariff program.
The cost of the project is $2.23 million and financed by SBVMD over a 10-year period and paid by West Valley Water District.
Please join us as we celebrate with the community as we go green. Light refreshments will be provided.
WHEN: 9 am on Saturday, October 13, 2018
WHERE: Oliver P. Roemer Hydroelectric Plant
