RIALTO, Calif. – West Valley Water District (WVWD) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $112,500 WaterSMART grant from the Bureau of Reclamation. The funding will support the District’s water-use efficiency programs, helping customers achieve meaningful and lasting water savings

Through its rebate program, WVWD provides incentives to residential and commercial customers to adopt sustainable, long-term water conservation practices. These efforts not only reduce water demand but also promote efficient resource management across the community.

“Securing this grant reflects the Board of Directors’ commitment to implementing our strategic plan and pursuing external funding opportunities that directly benefit our customers,” said Board President Kelvin Moore. “By investing in conservation programs and offsetting costs through grants, we are able to maintain affordable rates while advancing long-term water sustainability.”

WVWD continues to expand outreach and resources to help customers make water conservation part of everyday life through workshops, community engagement, and educational tools.

“Our goal is to ensure customers have the tools and support they need to make conservation a ‘California Way of Life,’” said President Moore.

The Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Program provides funding to help communities implement projects that improve water efficiency, enhance drought resilience, and support sustainable water management.
